[Forgive Rory, this is going to be a little bit Blair Witch. The camera's right up to his face for a bit--wow, screen full of nose--and then he fixes it, pulls it a bit away. He's breathing heavily, and trying to keep an eye on the camera and off beside him at the same time, and when he speaks, he's trying to keep his voice low.]

There...iiiis...a minotaur after me, a minotaur and a...thing. A goblin or something.

[The camera shakes a bit as he turns it to try and film along the wall beside him, the wall he's pressed up against, maaaybe to go around the edge, show around the corner...

And then a brief glimpse of the beasts, sniffing about, before they look straight at the camera, and the minotaur bellows.]

Shit!

[The video goes flailing, wild, Rory is off running again.

Sudden glimpses of narrow streets around him

and the goblin-thing, coming up towards him, hands reaching out toward the camera

and then bits of the city

the ground

up at Rory, from under his chin, he's tripped and he's pushing himself up again

alleyway

sky through the tops of buildings

and then a door, about halfway into frame on an angle, door opens, Rory hustles in and slams it behind him, up some stairs, down a hall, and then he slides down against the wall there, panting, trying to fumble the camera back to face him. He has a bit of trouble framing the words.]

So...what are they? Are they always here? What does this city have against me handing in my CV?! Because it's done this twice, now! I mean, the first time, it was a giant purple dog, and this time it's...those things. I know it's unprofessional, but is there a hospital email I can send it to? Because this is kind of ridiculous.

[A sound off to the side and Rory looks, and then gapes.]

How'd you--!

[His shoulders fall briefly in defeat, and then he scrambles to his feet and runs off again, ending the video with a thumb as he does so.]

[Nathan's been briefly distracted on his way over (what kind of idiot leaves perfectly good sweets lying all over the floor?), but at least he's here now. Since he's unwilling to part with the metal piping he's nicked from who knows where, he doesn't have much choice but to toss some of the sweets from his pocket at the minotaur's head to distract him from Amy.]

Hey! Cunt with the horns. Didn't anyone ever tell your mum it's kind of gross to sleep with a cow?

[Amy's pretty much running again, because the minotaur figured she'd be more interesting bait than Rory. Which was the point, of course. She has to admit that Nathan's insults are rather more creative than what she came up with. And he's got a pipe. That should be useful.]

[Chairs out of the way and the final table dragged just enough to the side for him to fumble with the door and its lock, trying to keep his hands steady, trying not to think of what could be happening outside.

He finally wrenches the door open with his left hand, holding the leg of a chair with his right. He's not...entirely certain what he's going to do with it. Prod the minotaur? But it's something, and it makes him feel slightly less useless.

Bursting into the hall, he looks between Nathan and...the minotaur starting to pick up a bit of speed to follow...Amy down the hall.]

No! Hey...you...come back here, you great...stupid....cow-thing.

[Ah, yes. Going just about as well as last time. Rory steels himself, and charges after the minotaur.]

[Nathan's just going to run along after them, flailing his arms uselessly.]

Hey, wait! Cow guy! The whole point of me being here is you're supposed to come after me.

It's a minotaur! It's really, really a minotaur. [Those words are part breathless, part scared and all awe. Sure, she's running from yet another monster, but. A minotaur! Not only are there unicorns here, there's minotaurs, too. Amy kind of likes this place. Not the chasing, so much. But in general.

And hey, a glance behind reveals that there's now two guys who're more or less armed chasing the minotaur who's chasing her. So when she reaches a dead-end, Amy sees it as a chance rather than the end, and quickly reverses direction, managing to slip by the minotaur before it can react.]

[Rory is equally gracelessly flailing his arms, in his attempt at speed, and wanting to reach the minotaur before it reaches Amy. He nealry collides with Amy, because seeing the dead end, he was considering making a sort of desperate leap for the minotaurs back to pull it backwards. But with Amy darting past it, he has to sort of hop himself to a stop as the minotaur bellows, trying to grab for Amy before turning slowly around. He dithers a moment, weakly going 'Aaa-aaahh...' and then backpedals a bit to look at Amy and Nathan. He's uncertain, now, he's gotten both of them into this.]

W-weee should...run again.

[Nathan nods, not as confident now those horns are charging in his direction. He's already taken off again.]

Yep. Running. I'm all for that idea.

[Right. Running. Amy's good at running.] Right. Which way is out of here? [But she's already running. It hardly matters where so long as it's away from the Minotaur, right?]

[Which way is out! Well. Hang on. Other way from the dead end, get back to the room he was trapped in, past that.]

Probably this way!

[And he runs off, doing a bit of glancing behind him to make sure that at least Amy is following him. Aaaand that the minotaur isn't at them yet.]

[Nathan stumbles to a stop, immediately thinking better of it and starting to run again, looking back over his shoulder at Rory.]

Probably this way?!

[Amy passes Nathan when he's just starting to run again and grabs his arm to pull him along.]

Never mind that. Just run!

[As far as rescue missions go, this one's not going too well. But no one's dead yet, either, so...]

[Okay, thiiis is the room he was hiding in, which means past that....and left along the intersecting corridor...and THIS door. Which leads to stairs. He stands and holds it open for the other two to get through, making sure they know where it is. Maybe they took another route down.]

[Okay, okay, he's running. So long as they don't get cornered, they should be fine. Right? He just hopes Rory hasn't stopped because he doesn't know where he's going.]

[Aaaaaaaaand down the stairs.]

[Or up them, they're in the basement, even if down would be nicer. And faster. And less tiring. At least the stairs will slow the minotaur down. Rory runs after them once they've gone through and closes the door. Another thing to possibly slow down the minotaur.]

[Nathan glances back to see what the hold up is (not that it's much of one, but with a minotaur on their backs there's not much time to waste), and hey, door closing. Maybe he doesn't know how to open doors, if he's got the brain of a cow? It's worth hoping for, anyway.]

Is there a lock on there?

Locks are good. [Amy turns back as well to look. If there's no lock, they should... keep running. The door doesn't look that sturdy.]

It's a stairwell! [Rory says this a bit frantically and makes shooing motions as he already starts up the stairs, trying to herd the other two up ahead of him. Of course there's not a lock he can use!] Just go!

[Nathan's been clinging to Amy's arm since she grabbed him, so he tugs to make sure she follows as he starts running again.]

[And off they go again, with Amy twisting around to make sure that Rory is keeping up.]

[He is, he is, he's right behind them and the door rattles as the minotaur reaches it. Rory stumbles on a stair and gets himself back up again. They're nearly at ground level. BANG from the door, but it still isn't open. The minotaur has a cow head but he'll work out the handle soon enough.]

[Nathan lets out a frightened sort of wail at the bang, forcing himself to speed up for the last few stairs to ground level. And now they've reached it... well, Rory can think of something. He's the one who got them into this in the first place.]

Which way? [Amy's still turned to look at Rory and if it weren't for Nathan's hold on her, she probably would've stumbled sooner rather than later.]

Out, I think.

[Rory climbs the last few stairs to join them.]

Somewhere better than in here?

[He glances at Nathan and then looks back at Amy, hesitant.] The TARDIS?

[Nathan stops to let Rory catch up, panting. He'd kind of like to stop for good, but that minotaur's still banging. And he'd really rather not be there when he manages to get through.]

Out sounds good. TARDIS?
