[Text]
I’m sure you’ll not even get this as someone’s messed with my mobile but I’ve been abducted. Or something’s gone off with the TARDIS. Either way, if you do get this…call me. Please.

[Further Text, about a half hour later]
That…wasn’t meant to go up there. Just ignore that, everyone.

This is…some sort of social networking thing, is it? It seems like a lot of trouble to go to for kidnapping victims but it could be a big experiment. Another one--big experiment--it’s starting to get just a bit old, actually. Is this one of the ones I get an explanation with? It…would help if someone could, cheers.

[More Text, a couple minutes later]
Amy, CALL ME.

[Text, almost immediately after]
Alright, I give up, how do I switch this over into actually being a phone again?

[ooc: Rory is standing in what he thinks is an an unnoticeable section of the Square, slightly hunched into himself with his back against a wall. He's got his Blackberry up to his face, but he's mostly looking over the top of it, trying to not look nervous. Approach him if this pings you, or if you just want to, I guess!]

[Pause, and a sort of awkward, quiet strangled cough.

No, no matter what he is thinking, he's not right.

Because that would be insane.]

And...that's stuff that happened at home on the way here? Or...actually happened here?

Home. Here has been...possibly more with the weird and maybe just like home.

Hopefully you'll settle in before the weird starts for you.

Did you find Amy?

Right. Yes. Ah...

Well, technically, suddenly arriving in a different city is pretty weird itself, but I have had...weirder weird things on the Scale...of Weird.

I did, or, she found me, but that tends to be how it works.

Then the transition will be easier.

Good. So you're safe and she's explained the City to you.

Yep! Well. Sort of. Mostly she pulled me about, showing me things, and then I read the Guide later and it explained things a little bit better. [Carefully] It was still a lovely tour.

Well that's good. That the tour was--and that you read the guide.

I'd rather start at....square 4 at least than square 1. Of other people have worked something out, it's better I know.

Plus you figure out the best places to shop and eat. Not to mention the not getting lost or getting chomped on--not that that's a fail safe here. Never mind.

It's really not a failsafe anywhere. Like I said, it's better not to start completely blind with that sort of thing. No...rushing into things without knowing what you're doing.

Now if only everyone would look at it that way. [Yes she's thinking of the entire city of Sunnydale]

Yeah, that would be nice. [And HE is thinking of the Doctor and Amy.]

[They're all wave-lengthy] I take it you know people who don't?

My wife and our-- [Their what? Their guide? Their best friend? Their travelling companion?] ...Doctor.

You need a doctor? Together?

Um...yes? No it's....it's his name. 'The Doctor'.

Oh. Well it sort of lacks creativity. What were his parents thinking? [Now she's wondering if the Doctor is a vampire. After all they tend to pick weird names]

I think it's more of a pseudonym than his actual name but I have literally no idea what his real name is, so...that's what I call him?

It's not ever weird? With the pseudoseeming and the title thing and the not know his real name?

Haaah...there is literally nothing NOT weird about the Doctor.

Yeah, it's not. It's probably the opposite. As well as being the opposite of relaxing, even when it's meant to be. He left me and Amy on a cruise ship, once, during our honeymoon, a cruise ship and it goes wrong about...two days into the cruise and crashes, and we lost all our luggage.
