I’m sure you’ll not even get this as someone’s messed with my mobile but I’ve been abducted. Or something’s gone off with the TARDIS. Either way, if you do get this…call me. Please.
[Further Text, about a half hour later]
That…wasn’t meant to go up there. Just ignore that, everyone.
This is…some sort of social networking thing, is it? It seems like a lot of trouble to go to for kidnapping victims but it could be a big experiment. Another one--big experiment--it’s starting to get just a bit old, actually. Is this one of the ones I get an explanation with? It…would help if someone could, cheers.
[More Text, a couple minutes later]
Amy, CALL ME.
[Text, almost immediately after]
Alright, I give up, how do I switch this over into actually being a phone again?
[ooc: Rory is standing in what he thinks is an an unnoticeable section of the Square, slightly hunched into himself with his back against a wall. He's got his Blackberry up to his face, but he's mostly looking over the top of it, trying to not look nervous. Approach him if this pings you, or if you just want to, I guess!]

[ action ]
She'd not spend much time thinking about Rory's absence in the time since her own arrival, not because it wasn't important, because he wasn't important - he is - but because dwelling on it made her feel... sad, and a little lonely. Rory not there, the Doctor not knowing her. Yet. Not knowing her yet. She didn't much like those thoughts, so she very decidedly did not think along those lines. Now Rory was here, so it didn't matter anyways how she might have felt in his absence.
She comes to a stop in front of him and leans forward to give him a quick kiss.]
Hi.
[ action ]
He won't have to act pleased to see her, though, he is always always always pleased to see her, even if they've been in the same room the whole time and he's only turning back to look at her. Especially when she's looking so excited to see him, it just sort of hits him in the chest, lucky lucky Rory.
He kisses her back when she kisses him.]
Hi.
[And then he puts a hand on her shoulder, giving her a sort of half searching, half concerned look.]
So...you're alright, yes? Things've been...alright here?
[ action ]
So she links arms with Rory and pulls him away from the wall and onto the square and into the direction of the TARDIS.]
I've been here for two weeks. [That seems to be the most important question to him.] Don't really understand how this place works, but apparently it's a pan-dimensional nexus. [She figures he'd be able to make more of that than she does.] Or so the Doctor says. Oh, and he's here, but he's from before he knows me-- us -- so no spoilers. And he looks different. But he's obviously the Doctor. I've been staying in the TARDIS. And this place is weird, but interesting. [She's ticking off the various items on her fingers as she goes.]
[ action ]
As it is, he links arms with Amy, takes a step forward, and goes squish.]
Oh. Yeah. Right...the fountain...
[He takes another squishing step forward. It feels weird, but he hasn't much of a choice but to live with it until he gets where Amy is leading him to.]
Pan-dimensional nexus... [Oh. Not good. No easy plane ticket home.] Okay, well, travelling into the multiverse, that's something new, I suppose. [Now, the Doctor. He's here, of course he is and...he and Amy haven't left yet. Waiting for Rory? Or else is there something they need to do here first before leaving. Something incredibly dangerous and foolish to attempt, no doubt. At least he's here, rather than...not here.] What have you two been up to, then? [Innocent question. Really. Truly.] And what IS this place? Other than a pan-dimensional nexus, I mean, what's the point of it? Why are we here?
[ action ]
At his questions, she gives a shrug.] We've had tea. [Truth.] The Doctor's been tinkering with the TARDIS and I've been exploring, mostly. Apparently, we're stuck here. Really, really stuck.
[ action ]
Stuck? [What? How?] But...do you mean the TARDIS can't get us out? Really? [He pauses, and then comes to the only really logical conclusion.] Alright, what did the Doctor bollocks up? What's happened to the TARDIS? [...after all, it can't have been him, this time. He wasn't even flying the TARDIS when he'd disappeared.]
[ action ]
There's a guide, even. [And she figures Rory, dependable Rory, might actually read the thing as opposed to just browsing through it like she did at first.]
[ action ]
Well, that's...good, probably. Is it a helpful guide? Do you still have a copy?
[action]
And then she opens the copy of the guide on her phone and hands it to him.]
[action]
Thank you.
[He takes it from her and scrolls down a bit, starting to read it, completely intrigued, before it occurs to him that this, possibly, is not what he should be doing, right at this moment, with his wife beside him, Amy, who's been trapped here for two weeks with nobody who really knows her. The guide can wait. For a bit. Not that he isn't going to study the damn thing but for right now, he sends it in a text message to his own phone and then hands it back to her.]
I'll look later. [He puts his arm around her waist and pulls her against him, still walking (still squishing a bit but at least the walking is drying out his shoes. Slightly).] Come on, you've been here for two weeks! Why don't you show me around? Or... [He looks down, and then back at Amy.] Why...don't...we go to the TARDIS so I can change my shoes and socks, and then you can show me around.
[action]
[And their first stop is, hey, a pancake house.] I had lunch here with an angel. A proper one, with wings and all. Well. A punkrock angel, I s'ppose.
[action]
And....oh, look, a pancake house. Rory is very slightly confused, and is going to ask if the pancakes are particularly GOOD or something before Amy answers his unasked question.]
A punk rock angel?! [He's amused, verging on laughter.] That...is pretty cool.
[action]
Oh, and that day some people had to obey everything others said. One of those curses [she gives a little vague wave.]
[action]
Mind control? That sounds a bit...kinky. [And he sounds a bit amused, but mostly, he can't avoid thinking of it exactly in that same kinky way and he can't help it showing a bit in his expression. Not that it would be all that different from normal but it's...oddly compelling all the same.] Are they all like that?
[action]
I don't know, though, 'bout all of them. Some are supposedly not that much fun.
[action]
And then another thought.] And that....nobody was ordering you about. Nobody did, did they? [Because PROTECTIVE, not to mention, it would be sort of weird, really.]
So you haven't actually been through any of the less fun ones yourself yet, then? [And back to sort of vague protection again. If Amy's going to have to go through something horrible here (please please no) he wants to at least be here to help.]
[action]
And 'course no one got to order me about, no. Some tried, but whatever it was that made some people obey others didn't work on me.
[And his protectiveness is sweet. Amy thinks it's unnecessary, 'cause she can handle herself, of course she can, but it's still sweet.] Nope. The ordering about was the first and only one so far I noticed properly.
[action]
And he knows Amy is capable, of course he knows but, well. He can't stop worrying all the same. It's not something that shuts off.] Right, well, I think there's one on today. Something about explaining how to do...various things. Nothing big, and I don't think either of us are cursed. I'm not feeling any sudden urges to tell you how to nurse. [He smiles again.] Anyway, where next?
[action]
A real unicorn.
