[There's a boy and a girl walking down the road, hand in hand. They're young - too young, really, to be out at this time. Just after the video clicks on, the girl lets go of the boy's hand and frowns at him.]

Rory. Why are you holding my hand?

[She looks around, then.] And where are we?

[The boy--Rory--looks around, and then does a bit of biting of his lip. He looks slightly like he might cry.]

I.......don't know. [He takes a few panicked breaths.] I don't think we should be outside, though. I think it's late. I think we need....I think we need to find an official building or something.

Don't be such a girl. [The girl shakes her head and holds her hand out to him again.] Let's go explore! That's what the Doctor would do, too.

B-but Amelia, it... [He reaches over and takes her hand.] It's different. We're not the Doctor.

[Amelia resolutely starts walking, pulling Rory along with her.] We could be like him, if you weren't always so scared. C'mon. If you want to find an official building, we have to look around anyways. So there.

[Rory follows along so that he can mostly stop himself from being dragged.] Do you know how we got here? Cos I can't remember anything at all.

Maybe we were kidnapped. [Amelia sounds more excited than scared by this prospect.] Or maybe the Doctor finally came back for me. Or maybe he's in trouble and needs our help!

[They walk around a corner and then Amelia lets out a squeal - that she'll later deny - and points. There's a blue box standing not too far away from them and Amelia lets go of Rory's hand and runs towards it. Over her shoulder, she shouts.] See, I told you he'd come back for me.

[For a moment, Rory just stares, and then he runs after Amelia.] Why'd he bring us here for, though? Why didn't he just come to your house again?

Dunno. [Amelia shrugs and knocks on the TARDIS door.] Doctor! Doctor!

I'm okay, thanks. [Pause, after the required politeness.] Your box is really big. I mean, I sort of knew it was big, because it was big already when we came in, but it's even bigger than that.

I'm good at maths. [Rory shrugs. It's probably complicated uni stuff, at least.] It's really cool. Where did you get it from? Are you from the future?

It's maths that are probably a bit higher than I can do, even. I can go find you the books if you want to read them. They're in here somewhere. [Anyone complimenting the TARDIS gets grins automatically.] I borrowed it! And sort of, yeah. Not all the time.

[He was honestly not expecting Rory to actually want to read the books, so he blinks for a moment and then stands up to get them.] Right, okay. TARDIS physics books. By the physics books. Orrrr... possibly the anatomy books...

[That one is much easier though.] Well, I'm always from your future. But not always in your future.

Pretty much, yeah! I mean obviously mine is cooler than a DeLorean but similar basic effect. Better control over the piloting though.

[Rory tags along after the Doctor to the kitchen, holding the TARDIS physics books to his chest with both arms.]

[The Doctor finds the kitchen and starts looking through cabinets for peanut butter. He looks under his arm at Rory while stretching up on a shelf.] You want regular, yeah? Or d'you like chunky. I think there's some chunky in here somewhere. And some honey. Someone really liked peanut butter at some point.

Regular's good, thanks. [Rory heaves the books up onto the counter, being a bit of a short kid, and then goes over to where he already took out the bread, and brings it closer to the peanut butter.] The somebody wasn't you? Other people live here?

[He pulls the regular one down and sets it next to where Rory's got his stuff all set out, and then gets another kind down for himself. Gets out some bread and a knife and starting making his own sandwich.] There've been a few people who lived here. Right now it's just me, you, and your friend, Ameilia.

[Rory drags a kitchen stool over to give himself a boost on the sandwich.] It's really big for only being you here. [He starts in on his own sandwich-making.]

[The Doctor is spreading peanut butter across both bits of bread, and looks around for a banana to cut up and add to it.] Yeah, but that's why I've got you and Amelia Pond. Help take up some of all the space. Add some noise to the place. You want a banana?
