Well...nice weird. [He focusses on getting the rest of the blood off his shoulder so he doesn't have to look at her while he says it. It might be one of her bad reaction days.] Sort of...good, actually. [Oh, good, the gouges are actually fairly shallow. No serious damage. Just...a lot of bleeding. He lets the cloth stay on his shoulder as he goes for another cloth and some disinfectant, which is helpfully labelled 'The One For Humans'.]
